Washington DC Experiences Biggest Snow Storm in 100 Years

Weather reporters predicted the East Coast would be hit with one of the biggest snowstorms reported in over 100 years, and that is exactly how it turned out. Specifically, Washington DC accumulated over two feet of snow in itself. In essence, the city underwent a state of emergency and shut down for a few days in response to the massive blizzard that hit thousands of homes around the metropolitan area.
Students at Howard University were forced to stay inside the dormitory as the University shut down as well. Students staying in the Bethune Annex right on campus underwent issues of no hot water during this time as well as dealing with the difficulty of a shortage of food and ability to leave.
However, as roads begin to clear, students are preparing to finish the week out in class and are now able to roam freely across campus.
